Interpreting the Uplifting Classical Indian Arts to Global Audiences
The boundless wisdom in the art and architecture of Ancient India makes it a deep subject of study! Some of the Classical Indian artistry is often blamed for being elitist. But Art is a gift of God, and right of all by far. For the enjoyment and consumption on a normal, palpable plane we interpret the art and architecture of Ancient India via our productions and art appreciation workshops, and it has been an exhilarating journey in creativity! The art of Ancient India has roots in folk life and spirituality, with nuanced human expressions in humility and surrender. We present these artistic explorations with examples and illustrations in conversation with artists. Our Indian dance dramas (Indian musicals) would tell a story with Indian Classical fusion music. With their innate emotion (Bhaav), raags are beautifully engaged for unfolding a story, the New Age orchestration of instruments inspiring imaginative choreographies in the Indian Classical dance. Our work in the area of architecture of Ancient India explores the universally regarded climate-responsive Indian architecture. The subject of art and architecture of Ancient India is sheer fascinating, and with the established genres like Indian dance drama and Indian Classical fusion music the possibilities remain endless!
Among other works our series of 90 m virtual shows “The Architecture of Arts” presents a good peek into the art and architecture of Ancient India. We have so far explored Indian Classical music (Vocal and instrumental, of Sitar and Santoor), Indian Classical dances of BharataNatyam, Kathak, Odissi and Sattriya, Indian folk dance, Indian Folk / Tribal arts of Madhubani, Mud-Mirror, Warli and Gond, and of course the architecture of Ancient India.
